Thai + English are standard. Chinese, Korean or Japanese assistance can be requested in advance, subject to availability.

Your patient liaison is a coordinator and is not described as a nurse unless that person is a licensed nurse.

Is surgery guaranteed for Day 1?

No. Same-day surgery may be possible when medically suitable and hospital scheduling allows. The ophthalmologist and hospital make the clinical and scheduling decisions.

Which intraocular lens is included in the advertised price?

The advertised package price includes only a foldable monofocal (single-distance) intraocular lens for one eye. Multifocal or multi-distance lenses are not included and are subject to the treating ophthalmologist’s diagnosis and recommendation. If an alternative lens is medically suitable, the hospital will discuss the available option and quote its additional price separately after examination and eye measurements.

Can I request surgery for both eyes?

Yes. A second-eye procedure can be requested for an additional USD 900. Package 1 totals USD 2,390 and Package 2 totals USD 2,690. Treatment of both eyes, including whether surgery can be performed sequentially on the same day, is subject to examination, medical suitability, treating ophthalmologist approval and hospital scheduling.

Who selects the intraocular lens?

Lens selection, diagnosis and treatment decisions are determined by the treating ophthalmologist after examination and measurements.

When can I fly after surgery?

Travel clearance and timing are individual medical decisions. Follow the advice of your treating ophthalmologist rather than relying on a universal schedule.

Is HERO Health the medical provider?

No. HERO Health is the patient-care and travel coordinator. The treating ophthalmologist and hospital provide medical diagnosis, treatment and surgery.
